Book club to meet

PRINCETON— The Princeton Public Library Book Club will hold its next meeting at 4 p.m. Dec. 13 in the community room at the library. The group will be discussing The “Glass Castle” by Jeannette Walls. Anyone is invited to join the group in discussing this book.

Community service

MANLIUS — The public is invited to a community Thanksgiving service at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Wyanet Community Bible Church, 215 S. Locust. This annual service is sponsored by the Ministerial Association of Manlius, New Bedford, Wyanet and Buda. The service will include a variety of special music from participating congregations, with a mixture of traditional and contemporary pieces. The theme of giving thanks will draw upon selected passages from Philippians. The monetary offering received will go to local benevolences and/or local food pantries. Also canned goods, non-perishable items and paper products will be received for local food pantries. Fellowship and refreshments will follow the evening’s service.

Support  meetings

PRINCETON — Illinois Valley Scleroderma support group meetings are at 1 p.m. the second Friday of every month at Illinois Valley Community Hospital Home Health Services building at 1305 6th Street in Peru. For information call (815) 538-2012.

Outreach clinic

WALNUT — Perry Memorial Hospital free outreach clinic is scheduled from 10 to 11 a.m. Dec. 4 at the Walnut Senior Center; from 10 to 11 a.m. Dec. 5 at the Methodist Church in Tiskilwa; from 9 to 10 a.m. Dec. 7 at the Princeton High-rise; from 9 to 10 a.m. Dec. 11 at Centrue Bank in Manlius and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Dec. 19 at Doc’s Drug Store in Henry. The clinic will be open from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 6, 13, 20, and 27 at the Concord Township building in Sheffield. There will be no clinic at Perry Memorial Hospital on Dec. 25.

Meeting

DEPUE — The November meeting of the DePue Unit School District Board of Education will be at 5 p.m. Nov. 20 in the district’s library.
