PCUG meeting

PRINCETON — The next monthly meeting of the Princeton Computer Users Group will be at 6:30 p.m. today, Tuesday, at the Prince-ton Public Library. Computer issues will be discussed and as usual there will be a question and answer session. The meeting is free and all are welcome to attend. Because of the New Year’s holiday, the group will not meet in January.

Parade rescheduled

PRINCETON — The Princeton Lions Club’s Christmas parade has been rescheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The parade, with a theme of “Jingle Bell Rock,” will form at Nelson’s Drug Store and continue south on Main Street to Soldiers and Sailors Park. Santa will be arriving in his personal horse drawn carriage along with a variety of other entries. Again, this year, the Lions will be accepting donations along the parade route for the food pantry.

Blood drive set

PRINCETON — The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center will hold a blood drive from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the fourth-floor Multi-Purpose Room at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. Donors who last gave blood on or before Oct. 11 are eligible to donate at this drive.

Meeting set

PRINCETON — Princeton MOPS will meet at 6 p.m. today, Tuesday, at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Princeton. The topic will be “The Dinning Room.” Kathy Bohm will speak about decorating homes for the holidays.

Breakfast set

LAMOILLE — The LaMoille Lions Club will serve an all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the LaMoille Lions Club, 308 Howard St. The menu will include pancakes, sausage, ham, eggs, toast, orange juice, milk and coffee. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children 6-10.

Breastfeeding support

SPRING VALLEY — Illinois Valley La Leche League, a breastfeeding support group, will meet at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 20 in Webster Park, Spring Valley. This monthly group is designed to help mothers gain knowledge and support from other breastfeeding moms. December’s discussion will revolve around, but not limited too “Nutrition/ Weaning”.
