Derek Molln
COLUMBUS, Ga. — Army National Guard Spec. Derek A. Molln has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga.
During the nine weeks of training, Molln received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions. Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.
Molln is the son of LaVerne Molln of Walnut and Bonita Molln of Princeton. He is a 2000 graduate of Bureau Valley High School in Manlius and received a bachelor’s degree in 2004 from Illinois State University in Normal.
