PRINCETON — American Legion Auxiliary Unit 125 of Princeton conducted its monthly workshop June 11 at the post home.
Thirty-six treat sacks were filled with fresh fruit, snack cakes, homemade cookies, chips and personal care items.
The Unit conducts a veterans workshop each month for those veterans residing in nursing and retirement homes in the area. This is their way of saying “thank you” for all they have done for the country during World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars.
A poem about the American flag was also included in the treat sacks in honor of “Flag Day”, June 14.
The Unit will conduct its July veterans workshop on Wednesday, beginning at 8:30 a.m., at the post home. All members are encouraged to attend.
