Charlotte Campbell

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Charlotte Campbell, 79, formerly of Wyanet, died at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2008, in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Born July 26, 1929, in Wyanet to Harry and Mabel (Smiley) Grupy, she married Kenneth C. Campbell Jan. 7, 1951, in Wyanet. He preceded her in death.

She attended Wyanet schools, graduating in 1947, and Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.

She was a 50-year member of the Wyanet chapter of Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving are three children, Dr. David (Judy) Campbell of Fort Wayne, Ind., Christine (James) Ryan of Huntley and Mark (Valerie) Campbell of Omaha, Neb.; three sisters, Jeanne Erickson of Princeton, Margaret (Duke) Lichty of Lincoln, Neb., and Harriet Grupy of Lincoln, Neb.; two grandchildren, Robbie and Katie Campbell of Fort Wayne, Ind.; one nephew, Jerry Erickson of Downers Grove; one niece, Ginger Whitley of Carrigan, Texas; and one cousin, Lorraine Hamrick of Princeton.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Harry “Buck” Grupy.

Services will be Saturday in Omaha, Neb. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha, Neb.
