Oleeda Albrecht
TISKILWA — Oleeda Albrecht, 89, of Tiskilwa died Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at her home.
Born June 22, 1919, in Hopedale to Levi and Alma (Nafziger) Sutter, she married Marion Albrecht June 11, 1944, in Hopedale. He survives.
She graduated from Hopedale High School in 1937 and received her bachelor’s degree in education from Bradley University.
She was a member of Willow Springs Mennonite Church, the Retired Teachers Association and Delta Kappa Gamma, Gamma Phi chapter.
Also surviving are four children, Arlee (Richard) Blackburn of Lombard, Wayne (Annette) Albrecht of Texas, Connie (Elvin) Krabill of Tiskilwa and Sylvia Aschliman of Chicago; four sisters, Edna Springer, Lela Sutter, Miriam Albrecht and Jean King; two brothers, Willis and Earl Sutter; seven grandchildren, Jenny (Tony) August, Becky Albrecht, Andy, Eric and Laura Krabill, and Shelley and Amy Aschliman; one great-grandchild, George August; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Vernal and Dennis Sutter; and two sisters, Ina Sutter and Alice Wenger.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Willow Springs Mennonite Church, Tiskilwa, with the Rev. Cal Zehr officiating. Burial will be in the Willow Springs Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton, and one hour prior to services Saturday in the church.
