Coat sale

DEPUE — DePue Ladies Auxiliary Post 4602 will have another coat sale from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Thursday, at the VFW Hall in DePue. The choice of any coat is $5.

Legion meeting

SPRING VALLEY — The Dominic Oberto American Legion Post will meet at 6 p.m. today, Thursday, at the School Hall of Immaculate Conception Church.

Meeting set

WYANET — The Wyanet Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. today, Thursday, at 109 E. Main St., Wyanet. The public is invited to attend. For information, call Burt at (815) 878-3553.

VFW Auxiliary

WYANET — Ten members of the Wyanet VFW Ladies Auxiliary met Aug. 1. The group remembered the July 28 passing of Vivian Bergren by draping the Charter. Donations were made to the LaSalle hospital pledge - Tender Loving Care special project. Eight members attended the Sept. 8 meeting. The mid-state lunch for the department president at the Peoria Post will be Saturday. A donation was made to the Crop Corn Respond-ing to Overcome Poverty program. Donations were made to the general fund, national home, Illinois cottage and the miscellaneous fund. A lunch will be Monday.

Acoustic Cafe

PRINCETON — The next Acoustic Cafe will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Prouty Building in Princeton. This event is open to anyone interested in attending, whether to play or just listen. Blood drive

PRINCETON — Orchard View Rehabilitation and Health Care will host an American Red Cross blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 16. Each participant will be entered in the drawing for a chance to win a gas card. For information, call Arin Peterson at (815) 875-1196.
