Manlius Fire Department elects officers

MANLIUS — The Manlius Fire Department elected officers at its annual December supper meeting held at Manlius Trinity Church. Twenty-six members were present.

Officers elected for 2009 were Bob Neahring, fire chief; Rob Allen, assistant chief; Aaron Roush, first lieutenant; Chris Maynard, second lieutenant; Jason Johnson, president; Steve Michlig, vice-president; and Mary Hartz, secretary-treasurer.

A check and a thank you note were received from Royal Neighbors Camp 1491 for use of the meeting room. Attendance awards were won by Dennis Kepner, Larry Rowland and Aaron Roush.

The next regular meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Jan 8 at the fire hall. The lunch committee will be Jeremy Roush and Justin Doty. Oyster stew and chili will be served.
