Chamber offers opportunities for area business women

PRINCETON — The Princeton Chamber of Commerce will host a Women In Business Luncheon on Jan. 16 from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. The luncheon is geared toward providing women with information that will empower them to grow and be successful in their professional and personal lives. In addition, this luncheon will enable women to expand their network to include other influential business women in the area.

The Chamber is proud to welcome speaker Nedda Simon who will provide a dynamic presentation on the “Four Aspects of Staying Healthy.” Simon is a retired teacher and mental health counselor. She also founded Freedom House in Princeton. Simon is involved with several community organizations including Festival 56 and The Illinois Theater Conservatory.

The public is invited. The cost of the luncheon is $15 for members of the Princeton Chamber and $20 for the general public. The Chamber will donate the proceeds from the luncheon to Freedom House.

The luncheon will be held at The Wine Cellar, located at 432 S. Main St.

The Princeton Chamber of Commerce has more than 240 members and serves as a service and action organization for business, as well as a community development organization. Members range from sole proprietors to large corporations. The mission of the Chamber is to promote the viability, continued growth and quality of life in the Princeton area through economic development, historic presentation and tourism.
