You work for us

This is an open letter to President Obama and Senators Durbin and Burris:

I'm not smart enough to know all the rules of the U.S. Government, but I am sure the three of you do.

My question is: Isn't there some law or reasoning that passing an $800 billion bill that no one knows what the bill contains and an accounting of where every cent is going to used? This is not how I see the United States of America being conducted by the president, Senate and House. I see this entire episode as illegal, and at the very least, stealing from the hard working taxpayers. I have always understood that those elected to serve in the U.S. Government worked for we. the taxpayers, and I believe you all are being treated very nicely with good wages, many benefits, health care, etc. So why aren't Americans being told in detail what you are doing with our money? I'm 75 years old, and in my years here on Earth, I have observed an almost Utopian form of government where the people and the government worked together, to now a U,S, Government that believes the Americans are just too stupid. The government must take care of these dumb people. You work for us, so why not all of you in D.C. listen to us?

One last thing, this "stimulus" package (which has never been successful in our history) is actually causing more layoffs than if you did nothing, and to top it off  you encourage illegal immigrants to come to this country, and our laws should be ignored in this case. How are all of these people that are being laid off by tens of thousands supposed to find jobs, when you are encouraging cheap labor to fill these jobs? Or is it recruiting potential future voters?
