C.W. "Bill" Hamilton dies

TISKILWA — Longtime Bureau County educator and Tiskilwa community leader Bill Hamilton died Monday at the University of Illinois Chicago Medical Center following a brief illness.

Hamilton was a former principal at the Tiskilwa Grade School, served for 16 years as the regional superintendent of schools in Bureau County, and was a former mayor of Tiskilwa. Princeton resident Dick Heaton remembered Hamilton as a good friend who shared many good times together. It’s hard to lose a friend like Bill Hamilton, Heaton said.
