PRINCETON — The Princeton City Council conducted the following business at its April 20 meeting at city hall:

• Heard the city received $127,300 in its 1 percent share of sales tax in April, compared to $125,641 received in April 2008. The city also received $35,710 in its 0.5 percent non home rule tax in April, compared to $39,855 in April 2008.

• Heard the city has received, year-to-date May 2008 through April 2009, $1,716,070 in its 1 percent share of sales tax, compared to $1,780,667 for the same time period in 2007-08. For the non home rule tax, the city has received, year to date, $546,413, compared to $569,327 for the same time period in the 2007-08 fiscal year.

• Reappointed Jim Argo, Beth Peacock and David Yepsen to the Princeton Plan Commission/Board of Zoning Appeals. All terms are for three years, expiring April 30, 2012.

• Reappointed Roger McCabe and Gary Bruce to the Perry Memorial Hospital Board with their terms to expire April 30, 2014.

• Announced the annual city clean-up days will be May 4 for residences east of Main Street and May 11 for residences west of Main Street.

• Approved the purchase of a sewer system camera at the cost of $36,149. The equipment will be purchased from Coe Equipment Inc. of Rochester.

• Heard Mayor Keith Cain proclaim April 24 as Arbor Day in Princeton. Cain urged residents to observe the day by planting one or more trees.
