Robisons will note 50th wedding anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. James Robison of 303 E. Main St., Bradford, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house for family and friends from 1 to 4 p.m. June 7. The event, hosted by the couple’s children, will be at the Bradford Baptist Church.
James E. Robison and the former L. Myrtle Yepsen were married June 7, 1959, at the Neponset Methodist Church in Neponset. They are the parents of six children, Diane Headley (deceased), Timothy (Beverly) of Rantoul, Thomas (Terry) of Buda, Janelle (Brian) Zachow of Bloomington, Sheila (Larry) Morgan of Mackinaw and Gregory of Bartonville. They also have 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
James is the owner and operator of Robison Oil Co. and is the Bradford School District transportation director. He was also on the Bradford Fire and Rescue Team. Myrtle worked for Bradford Industries, Anderson Insurance and Peltz Insurance. She retired as an office manager in 2008. The couple enjoy playing Yahtzee and taking part in a card club, and they both are active members of the local church and school. They love to travel and take short trips.
