PHS teams in summer shootouts

Spencer Davis closed out his Lady Tigers Basketball Camp early Friday afternoon. After a quick pizza party with his campers, he packed up the bus and took his high school girls to compete in the Oregon Shootout Friday evening and Saturday.
The PHS girls will continue to play in the traveling summer league this week with the varsity on Monday and the F/S on Wednesday. They will also compete in shootouts at Bourbonnais and Wisconsin Dells before the month is out.
Jesse Brandt finished off his high school boys’ camp Thursday at PHS and will bring in the Tiger cubs for summer camp this week.
The PHS varsity boys tipped off in the Cavalier Shootout in Bourbonnais Friday and will continue Saturday. The Tigers will play at Midland Monday, at Rock Falls Thursday and at St. Joe-Ogden Saturday. Before the month is out, the Tiger varsity will play at Ottawa on June 23 and head to the Illinois Wesleyan Shootout in Bloomington on June 27-28.
The PHS freshmen will play at L-P Tuesday and join the varsity at Rock Falls Thursday and team up with the sophomores for Ottawa Shootout action Friday and Saturday.
Camp guide: Mike Filippini’s Red Devils will conduct the final week of the high school boys’ basketball camp at Hall this week with the varsity and sophomores meeting from 9 to 11 a.m. and the freshmen from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Steve Amy finished out the Amy Brothers Wrestling Camp at PHS Friday, bringing in Iowa State grappler Tyler Clark in as guest instructor. Clark is a two-time NCAA qualifier and former IHSA champion at Orion High School.
Andy Puck’s Tigress volleyball camp at PHS runs June 22-26 with a new Princeton Cubs Camp for grades 4-7 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Grades 8-10 will meet from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and grades 11-12 from 1:30 to 4 p.m.
The Princeton football camp for incoming grades 5-8 will meet from 8 to 10 a.m. June 22-26 with the high school session from 6 to 8 p.m. July 20-24.
