Cinotte, Lady Devils reunite for IBCA All-Star game
Pat Cinotte is taking a curtain call as a high school girls’ basketball coach this weekend as the head coach for the Class 1A/2A North squad in the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association All-Star game in Bloomington.
Hired as the women’s basketball coach at Illinois Valley Community College in May, Cinotte will be reunited with former Hall High School players Carly Prokup and Lyndsay Wallaert on the North Squad. Hall assistant Darcy Early will serve as his assistant.
The North squad also includes St. Bede’s Sam Galas and Michelle Salvatori of Sterling Newman.
The All-Star game tips off at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Shirk Center on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University.
Cinotte resigned as the Lady Devils’ coach in April, shortly after the conclusion of his fourth season, compiling a 87-32 record. He was hired at IVCC on May 22, succeeding former coach Steve Crick, who passed away April 6 from cancer.
