Jennifer Philhower of Kasbeer and Andrew “Andy” Carlson of Princeton were united in marriage Aug. 1 at the First Baptist Church in Princeton by Pastors Don Winters and John Fowler. Nuptial music was provided by the string quartet of Hannah Dremann, Sarah Dremann, Erin Rocke and Tyler Stembridge, and soloist Ana Bermudez. The bride, accompanied by Todd Olin on guitar and Sarah Goetz on piano, also sang.
The bride is the daughter of David and Cheryl Philhower of Kasbeer. The groom is the son of Alan and Teresa Carlson of Princeton.
The bride wore a satin corset ball gown with a lace-up back and beaded organza pick-up skirt. She wore a rhinestone and crystal silver scrollwork tiara with a one-tier elbow-length beaded veil, and matching silver pearl and crystal scrollwork necklace and earrings. She carried peach and soft pink garden roses, small dark pink primrose, lily-of-the-valley and snowberries with terra cotta satin ribbon, and her great-great grandmother’s locket.
Jeannette Philhower, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Hannah Rosene, friend of the bride, and Nichole Philhower and Renae Philhower, cousins of the bride.
The attendants wore satin terra-cotta colored floor-length A-line dresses with V-neck and gathered waist. They carried peach and soft pink garden roses, small dark pink primrose, and lily-of-the-valley and = with a terra cotta satin ribbon. The flower girl wore a satin and organza sleeveless ball gown and carried peach rose petals.
Tyson Farrell, friend of the couple, served as best man. Groomsmen were Joe Prosapio, friend of the groom, Miguel Bermudez, friend of the couple, and Michael Gonda, cousin of the groom. Ushers were Reese Rosado and Josh Gould, friends of the couple.
Twins Emily Smith and Michael Smith, cousins of the bride, were the flower girl and ring bearer.
The couple was honored at a reception at Wise Guys in Princeton. Assisting at the reception were John Gauger, Diana Gauger, Carmen Fairley, Brenda Philhower and Chris Gonda.
After a wedding trip to the Grand Bear Lodge, the couple is making their home in Princeton.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Princeton High School. She is a substitute teacher’s aide.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Princeton High School and a 2003 graduate of Illinois Valley Community College. He is an IT manager.
