Patrick Lucas

SPRING VALLEY — Patrick G. Lucas, 62, of 324 W. Third St., Spring Valley, died at 7:48 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2009 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Born Nov. 29, 1946, in Princeton to Robert and Eleutherius (Taylor) Lucas, he married Nickie Trahd June 19, 1971, at St. Anthony Church in Spring Valley. She survives.

He was an accountant at LTV Steel in Hennepin until retiring.

He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Spring Valley and Utica Moose, and a former member of the Ladd and LaSalle Moose.

Also surviving are one son, Willie (Jennifer) Lucas of South Elgin; one daughter, Cheryl Lucas-McCoy of LaSalle; four brothers, Robert (Dianne) Lucas Jr. of Morris, Norman (Susan) Lucas and Roger (Tacey) Lucas, both of Princeton, and Joe (Brenda) Lucas of Gilroy, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Barto Funeral Home, Spring Valley, and at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Spring Valley, with the Rev. Robert Spilman officiating. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park, Spring Valley.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
