Golf scramble
PRINCETON — The Bureau County United Way’s sixth annual golf scramble will be Sept. 19 at Hunter’s Ridge Golf Course in Princeton. The cost is $60 per golfer/$240 for a team of four. Tickets include 18 holes of golf, cart, dinner and prizes. Single golfers are welcome. There will be a 1 p.m. shotgun start. The registration deadline is Sept. 14.
Special event
SPRING VALLEY — St. Margaret’s Auxiliary will hold a purse and accessory sale in the lower lobby of the hospital from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday. There will be many items and popular styles to choose from. The public is invited to attend. Planning meeting
SPRING VALLEY — The Hall High School Class of 1969 will hold a reunion planning meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the lower meeting room of Spring Valley City Bank. All members of the class are invited to attend the meeting.
CPR/first aid course
PRINCETON — A Red Cross CPR course and first aid training for ages 12 and up will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Bureau County Metro Center. The instructor will be Beth Coleman. The fee is $30. Certification for CPR will be valid for one year and first aid for three years.
Townwide sales
BUDA — Townwide garage sales in Buda will be July 18, starting at 8 a.m. Sign-up sheets are available at Casey’s in Buda. The last day to sign up to be on the map is July 14.
