PRINCETON — Slither along with Scott Michael, a teacher from Neponset, who will bring his snakes from his classroom to the Princeton Public Library at 2 p.m. today, Thursday. Also today, Rus Blogg will present a program on his studies in Africa dealing with elephants for adult patrons at 7 p.m.
On Friday, Youth Services will present a beatnik-style Open Mic Night and Cafe for the Teen Summer Reading program. The evening will begin at 7 p.m. Students who have attended programs may use their “coins” to purchase refreshments. A jazz duo will perform along with students with their “creative project.” Find out more or just come and perform!
The final Teen Book Club will meet at 5 p.m. Monday to discuss the fourth book. Snacks will be provided.
On Tuesday, explore the Mother/Daughter Spa with crafts, snacks, massages and more. The program begins at 10:30 a.m. At 7 p.m., John Lynn will present his final program “The Mississippi River.”
Read-aloud time will be held with guest reader Aly Marti at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Fifth-Eighth grade Movie Club will meet at 1:30 p.m.
OHIO — The Ohio Public Library will hold its summer reading program each Wednesday from 1 to 3:15 p.m. to hear a story, make a craft, watch a movie and have a snack.
The public is invited to a summer movie festival at 1 p.m. each Tuesday, for movies that are adaptations of books.
LAMOILLE — LaMoille-Clarion Library will hold its last story hour of the summer from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday. Children will finish their bucket project and take their buckets home with them. Summer Reading Club will end on Aug. 8 so, if you haven’t already met your goal there is still time to earn those neat prizes.

WALNUT — The summer reading program for all ages takes place at 1 p.m. Wednesdays at the Walnut Public Library. Children will meet downstairs for stories, crafts and games. Junior high, high school and any interested adults are meeting upstairs in the Young Adult Section.
Also, the library appreciates the donation of “The Peach Tree Handbook-Southern Maryland Branch, Volume II.”
MINERAL — The last “Read on the Wild Side” summer reading program will be held at the Mineral Gold Library on Tuesday afternoon from 2 to 3 p.m.
SHEFFIELD — The summer reading program has begun at the Sheffield Public Library. The party will be at 10:30 a.m., Aug. 12. There will be two age groups participating and the winner who has read the most hours for each group will win a book of their choice.
DEPUE — The Selby Township Library District’s summer reading program runs through Monday. The program is free and the theme this year is “Read on the Wild Side.” There will be a pizza party for all children registered for the summer reading program.
