Fire in Mineral

Linda Carlson submitted this photo of a Sunday afternoon fire in Mineral on Main Street. According to Carlson, the fire was at an old equipment storage building located next to the Mineral Post office and Mineral Township equipment building. The total structure was destroyed and had vehicles inside. The Mineral Gold Fire Department was the first to arrive, then the Sheffield Fire Department and Annawan Alba Fire units arrived. The concern was to contain the fire with the wind blowing. Smoke filled the air on the north side of the village. Thanks to the fire departments the fire was confined. The Mineral Township building was heated up and had a lot of smoke inside.
