Mr. and Mrs. Eric (Elizabeth) Wahl

Elizabeth Margaret Martinkus and Eric David Wahl of Madison were united in marriage May 30 at the Pres House chapel in Madison, Wis., by the Rev. Jerry Mosser. Nuptial music was provided by Abbie Welgat, pianist, cousin of the bride; John Schmit, guitarist, cousin of the groom; and Britney Doperalski, soloist, cousin of the groom.

The bride is the daughter of Daniel and Margaret Martinkus of Princeton. The groom is the son of Russell and Sandra Wahl of Racine, Wis.

The bride wore a champagne colored strapless satin gown. The empire waistline was detailed with crushed ice beading and beaded lace at the center front. The semi chapel trained was made of layers of pleated organza. She wore a fingertip veil and handmade Swarovski necklace and earrings. She carried a soft colored hand-tied bouquet with a mix of Sahara roses, sweet pea, tuberrose and orchids.

Missy Inpanbutr-Martinkus was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Kumm, sister of the groom, Tally Kruger, cousin of the groom, and Megan Taylor, Jillian Swinford and Melanie Howard, all friends of the couple.

The attendants wore floor-length satin and charmeuse dresses in deep plum with empire waist and trumpet skirts. They wore handmade Swarovski necklaces and earrings.

Nickolas Schmit, cousin of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Ben Martinkus and Matt Martinkus, brothers of the bride, and Neil Kennedy, Andrew Bauman and Ryan Brown, all friends of the couple.

The couple was honored at a reception at Blackhawk County Club overlooking Lake Mendota in Madison, Wis. They are making their home in Fitchburg, Wis.

The bride is a graduate of Princeton High School and received a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She is employed with the University of Wisconsin Madison, Waisman Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities.

The groom is a graduate of Washington Park High School and received a master’s degree from Cardinal Stritch University. He is employed with the School District of Janesville.
