PRINCETON — The Princeton Book Club will meet at the Princeton Public Library at 4 p.m. Thursday to discuss “The Blood of Flowers” by Anita Amirrezvani. Anyone is invited to join the group in discussing this book.

A Preschool Story Hour will take place at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and the emphasis will be on Robert McClouskey and ducks. The program will be held in the Youth Services Department, and preschool children and their parents or guardians are welcome to attend.

Youth Services will celebrate the birthday of author Roald Dahl throughout the month of September. Each Tuesday, Rachel Bystry will read chapters from one of Dahl’s books from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Each Wednesday, Youth Services will show a Dahl movie at 3:30 p.m.

At 4:30 p.m. Tuesday Gamma Phi will meet.

The library board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. The public is invited to attend.

SPRING VALLEY — There will be an American Girl Tea Party from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Richard A. Mautino Memorial Library for girls in first through sixth grade. Whether you have an American Girl doll or not, you are welcome to join in celebrating Valerie Tripp’s birthday. Tripp is the author who first introduced the American Girls. Surprises await. So don’t be late and register by phoning the library at (815) 663-4741.

Also, the library will hold story times featuring author Kate McMullan Tuesdays throughout September.

From 6 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Sept. 22, there will be guest readers for “I’m Bad!” the story of a dinosaur, and “I Stink!” the story of a garbage truck.

LAMOILLE — The LaMoille-Clarion Library would like to inform everyone September is National Library Card Sign Up Month! What better time of year to get a library card? Fall is right around the corner with shorter days and cooler weather – a perfect time to curl up with a good book or video. Stop in and sign up for a library card. LaMoille-Clarion Public Library will be happy to get you started.
