Open house

DALZELL — The Dalzell FIre Department will hold an open house from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 3 at the fire station. Bring the kids for games, fire truck rides, a smoke house and food. Also door prizes and a raffle.

Historical society meeting

WYANET — The Wyanet Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. today, Thursday at the historical building, 109 E. Main St. Everyone is invited.

Fly-in breakfast

PERU — The Illinois Valley Flying Club will hold its annual fly-in/drive-in breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon Sunday at the Illinois Valley Regional Airport. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children 5 to 12. Check out the aircraft, model airplanes, motorcycles and antique cars. Raffle tickets, airplane rides and helicopter rides can also be purchased.

Fundraiser

GRANVILLE — A pork chop dinner fundraiser to support Honor Flight Quad Cities will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the PC Foods store on Route 71. Tickets are $7 for a dinner and $5 for a pork chop sandwich. Tickets may be purchased on site. Honor Flight Quad Cities is an organization that transports WWII veterans to Washington D.C. at no cost to them to see the WWII memorial. Donations are appreciated.
