Matthew Stephens

PRINCETON — Matthew D. Stephens, 19, of Princeton died on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at home.

He was born May 22, 1990, in Barrington to David and Martha (DeBolt) Stephens. They survive.

He graduated from Princeton High School in 2008. He was in the marching band and after graduation, various rock groups.

Survivors include his mother of Princeton; his father of Arizona; one sister, Sarah Stephens of Bloomington, Ind.; two grandparents, Lillian DeBolt of Barrington, and Evogene Stephens of Arizona; one stepsister, Leisa Joliffe of Colorado; and cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three grandparents, James DeBolt, Paul Stephens, and Jeannette Ballesteros.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Church of the Nazarene, Princeton, Pastor Laura Root officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded. Internment will be private at a later date.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Norberg Memorial Home.
