Duane Grace
PRINCETON — Duane Woodrow Grace, 95, of Princeton died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at Colonial Rehab and Nursing Center in Princeton.
Born Oct. 10, 1913. in Keensburg, Ill., Harmon Wesley and Jessie (French) Grace, he married Pairlee Leach Feb. 3, 1940. She died March 8, 2009.
He taught at Princeton High School for 30 years. He was an active member of First Christian Church and involved in many of its activities. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge for more than 70 years, Shriners, Odd Fellows, AARP, and NEA.
Survivors include five children, Karla Smith of Ohio, Anita (Robert) Hill of Ohio, Stephen Grace of Texas, Michael (Becky) Grace of Canton, and Rick (Nancy) Grace of Arkansas; one former daughter-in-law, Gayle Grace of Princeton; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wallace and Byron Grace; one sister, Lois Milburn; and one daughter, Sharon Glazesbrook.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Norberg Memorial Home, the Rev. Arlene Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Elm Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
