Vorwerk-Drewe

Mary Beth Vorwerk and Matthew Drewe are announcing their engagement. She is the daughter of Stephen and Patricia Vorwerk, of Burlington, Iowa, formerly of Princeton. He is the son of Jim and Ann Drewe of Peoria, Ariz.

The bride-elect is a 1997 graduate of Princeton High School. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in journalism and mass communications and a minor in sports studies in 2001. She did two internships with the United States Olympic Committee following her graduation from college and has lived in Colorado Springs for the past seven years, where she has worked for two different Olympic sports and attended the Olympic Games in Athens and Beijing. She is currently the media and public relations manager for USA Shooting.

Her fiancé, originally from Phoenix, Ariz., has lived in Colorado Springs on and off for the past four years, where he served on active duty with the U.S. Army at Fort Carson. He was born in California and grew up in Phoenix where he graduated from Cactus High School in Glendale, Ariz.

The couple will be married July 16, 2010, in Colorado Springs, Colo.
