Driving under the influence

Benites D. Neftali, 44, of Charlotte, N.C., was charged with driving under the influence at Mile Marker 56 on Interstate 80 at 3:31 a.m. Oct. 15. Neftali was also charged with illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage.

Possession of tobacco

A 16-year-old male was charged with possession of tobacco by a minor at Bureau Valley High School at noon Oct. 13.

Accidents

Erin K. Clementz, 25, of Mineral struck a deer three-quarters of a mile west of the Bureau/Henry county line on North 1500th Avenue at 8:10 p.m. Oct. 14.

Christopher T. Johnson, of Des Moines, Iowa, was involved in a single vehicle accident at Mile Marker 44 on Interstate 80 at 3:11 a.m. Oct. 15.
