Working for
or against us

Yes, Devin (Vaughn), you are right.

As I peered over the back of my couch, where I cowered in fear, with the Fox News Channel on TV, Rush Limbaugh on the radio, and those evil Web sites on my computer screen, I had an epiphany! If we didn’t have all these dissenting voices, everything would be wonderful!

We could focus on really important things. Like the first family’s new puppy and how politician in government has only our best interests in their every thought!

Really Devin? Really?

I can guarantee the Tea Party groups are far more grassroots than any protesters on the left, who are promoted, organized and funded by groups such as A.C.O.R.N.

A.C.O.R.N. not only lobbies Congress but has been funded by taxpayers’ dollars.

You refer to “rabble rousing remarks.”

“Rabble.” A rather demeaning term. It was a term used to describe our forefathers by the king of England before and during the Revolutionary War. That rabble rose up to defeat the British and forge a new nation. If I am part of a “rabble,” then I accept the name proudly.

As for fear, it is a powerful emotion. It can work both for and against us.

Perhaps, by attacking certain news channels and talk show hosts, the politicians and even the White House are telling us what they fear.

When opposing voices are silenced, truth is the first casualty.
