You awarded ICCFA scholarship

OGLESBY — Illinois Valley Community College sophomore Run Jin You, a native of Fuzhou, China, was one of just six students chosen from across the state for a $1,000 scholarship from the Illinois Community College Faculty Association.

You, now living in Princeton, was selected based on her academic achievement and volunteer community service. She received the honor at the ICCFA Teaching and Learning Conference in Springfield.

You will transfer to Northern Illinois University next fall to pursue an accounting major. She was also a 2009 IVCC Foundation 21st Century Scholars Society recipient, and won scholarships from the Illinois Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers and Tri-County Opportunities Council.
