CRP payments
 being issued

SPRINGFIELD — Scherrie V. Giamanco, state executive director of USDA’s Farm Service Agency in Illinois, has announced that starting on Oct. 5 the USDA began issuing $111,894,485 in Conservation Reserve Program payments to eligible producers in Illinois. More than $ 1.7 billion in CRP payments are being made on 31 million acres across the country.

The payments are annual rental payments earned on the 1,038,703 Illinois acres enrolled in CRP, including the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program and Continuous Sign-Up Program fiscal year 2009. For more information, contact a local Farm Service Agency Office.
