BARABOO, Wis. — Delores R. Williams, 92, of Baraboo, Wis., formerly of LaMoille, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, Wis.
She was born Sept. 16, 1917, in Woodburn, Iowa, to Ray and Hilma (Ecklund) Martin. She graduated from LaMoille High School in 1935. Then she went to Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. She married Rev. Ernest R. Williams in 1940. He preceded her in death in 1973. She was a member of First Baptist Church of LaMoille and was involved with all the churches her late husband was a minister for, as a Sunday school teacher, organist, pianist, a foster mother and all-around wonderful pastor’s wife.
Delores is survived by her children, Terrell (Betty-Mae) Williams of Minnesota, Glenn (Carol) Williams of Wisconsin, Mark (Regina) Williams of Minnesota, Norman (Lynn) Williams of Florida, Lance (Laura) Williams of New Hampshire, Karen (Earle) Babcock of Ohio and Arlen Williams of Wisconsin. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Surviving as well is one sister, Norma Carlson of Michigan, and one brother, Leonard (Norma) Martin of Peru.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and many aunts and uncles.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, LaMoille, with the Rev. Jerry Graham officiating. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Memorial Park, Princeton.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
