MANLIUS — The Manlius Village Board took action on the following items at its meeting Oct. 6:

• Heard action of the sidewalks has been tabled until a later date.

• Approved a resolution to remove the stop signs at the intersection of Maple and Nelson.

• Heard from Village Engineer Jack Kusek regarding the sewer project. Kusek reported after a phone conference with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, the loan and DCEO grant money is in place. Kusek said the village might have to use more of the loan money until the grant money comes through. Kusek said McClure Engineering recommends the village proceed with the project.

• Discussed a loader/backhoe, with no action taken.

• Heard the village will need to hire an operator for the sewer, but it does not have to be a full-time person.

• Approved a motion to sell the old salt spreader for $100 based on scrap price.

• Received the monthly water billing report. There was nothing over 90 days or $200.

• Heard there are new water meters for Hansen’s Apartment Building.

• Discussed maintenance for the generator and also decided to get some prices for the village’s garbage pick-up.

• Heard from Bob Hensel, who asked if the Sportsman's Club could put in a propane tank for their building. There are no village ordinances against this.
