PRINCETON — Registration for the Tiger Town Tanglers youth wrestling program for ages 7-14 will be held from 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Prouty Building. Practices will be held during the week and tournaments will be held Sundays. Registration fees are $45. First-year wrestlers must bring a copy of birth certificate. Youth basketball
PERU — There will be a planning meeting for the second season of the Illinois Valley Youth Basketball League from 1-3 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Illinois Valley YMCA. Anyone interested in entering a team in this year’s league must attend. The league consists of divisions for grades 3-4 grades and grades 5-6. Weight training
PRINCETON — The Princeton Park District is taking sign-ups for its youth basketball program for ages up to sixth grade. The first season will start the end of November.
The park district also has weight training programs targeted for women and juniors. The junior class is for students age 12-17 under the supervision of the Metro Center staff.

IVVP meetings/tryouts
OGLESBY — Illinois Valley Volley Power club tryouts will be held Nov. 15 as follows: 18 U — Registration at 9 a.m. in the IVCC Upper Gym, tryouts from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.; 16 U — Registration at 12 p.m. in the IVCC Upper Gym, tryouts from 1 to 3 p.m.
There is a non-refundable tryout fee of $35.00, which includes a T-shirt. Parents must be present at registration in order to complete all required USA Volleyball forms.

ROCKFORD — An ASEP Coaching Clinic for anyone interested in becoming certified to coach middle or high school athletics will be held Nov. 14 in Rockford. Princeton Shootout
PRINCETON — The Princeton High School Sports Booster Club will be holding this year’s girls’ basketball shootout on Nov. 21-22 for grades 5-8. Entry fee is $100 for a three-game guarantee. YMCA 5-on-5 basketball
PERU —The Illinois Valley YMCA is holding a men’s corporate 5-on-5 basketball league to be held Wednesdays after 5:30 p.m. There will an A and B division. Team fee is $300 plus $25 for non-members. For more information, call (815) 223-7904.

SPRING VALLEY — The Spring Valley Walleye Club will hold its 15th annual Members Only Tournament on Nov. 28 at Barto Landing. This is a catch and release tournament. Payouts are first place, $750; second place, $375; and third place, $250. Entry fee is $60 per team, $120 after Nov. 21.
