Ready to be pampered?

WYANET — When residents of Wyanet walk by the Body Bar, the question that comes to mind might be “What are they serving?”

The Body Bar, according to owner Mandi Moon, “Serves everyone who wants to be pampered.” The Body Bar is a hair and tanning salon which also offers other unique services.

Moon, who grew up in the Bureau County area, moved back recently from Florida to be closer to her family.

“I have been in the hair care business for 10 years and thought that a salon in Wyanet would help boost the economy, give the village a business that would serve the community well,” she said.

Along with hair cuts for all members of the family, the Body Bar also offers special occasion styles, as well as highlights and colors. Other services include tanning beds, bronzing body shot treatments, 3-D lash extensions as well as lash tinting. Eyebrow and lip waxing will also be available.

Moon says, “We offer process below what you would normally pay at a high class salon. I wanted to keep the prices low so that everyone who wants can get their hair cut or a tan without feeling guilty about the amount of money they spend.

“We will be offering discounts as well as specials, especially during the holiday season. Beginning on Monday, Nov. 16, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., I will be offering $8 haircuts for men, walk-in only. Also, I will be giving out discount cards that will give you additional savings the more a customer uses my services,” she said.

The Body Bar opened on Sept. 13 and accepts appointments as well as walk-ins. The Body Bar will be having an open house to celebrate the grand opening of the salon on Nov. 29 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. At the same time, the salon will be kicking off a hat and glove drive as well as a fundraiser for “adopt a family” for the holiday season. Several vendors will be set up during the grand opening event for your shopping pleasure.
