SBA's MacDavitt earns first team T-C honors

Roanoke-Benson senior Hannah Knepp and Ottawa Marquette sophomore Cordy Murphy headed the 2009 Tri-County All-Conference Volleyball Tournament with unanimous selection.

St. Bede sophomore Kayla MacDavitt was also named to the first team along with seniors Lori Privratsky of Henry-Senachwine and Bailie Bongartz of Marquette and junior McKensie Vissering of Peoria Christian.

St. Bede was also represented by sophomore Bethany Stavrakas, who earned third-team honors along with DePue senior Carmen Lopez.

Second team honors went to juniors Ceci Mares of Lowpoint-Washburn, Abby Steele of Henry, Haley Hrovat of Midland, Jessica Leimbach of Putnam County and Emily Fischer of Roanoke-Benson and freshman Sara Spaniol of Streator Woodland.

The third team included seniors Sarah Martin of Woodland and Ashley Carter of Lowpoint-Washburn, junior Amber Christ of Peoria Christian and sophomore Jessice Jessen of Marquette.

Marquette won the conference championship.
