PRINCETON — American Legion Auxiliary Unit 125 of Princeton holds monthly veterans workshops at the post home.
Members filled bags in September, October and November. At the November workshop, the ladies filled 36 treat bags full with fresh fruit, special diet foods, popcorn, cup cakes, cookies, personal care products and candies for the veterans in the four nursing homes the unit serves each month.
According to Clara Pease, VA & R chairman, the group holds the workshops as a way to say “thank you” to the veterans.
For more information on the workshops and VA & R, call Clara Pease at (815) 872-0430 in the evening.
For Auxiliary membership information, call Carol Allicks at (815) 872-7891 in the evening.
