Champions will note 50th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Merwyn Champion of Bradford celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends at a dinner party Oct. 24 at Starved Rock Lodge before leaving for their winter home at 659 Misti Drive in Leesburg, Fla.

Merwyn Champion and the former Dorothy Nielsen were married Dec. 6, 1959, in the Mineral Methodist Church. They are the parents of two children, Mark of Wheaton and Lauri (Michael) Etter of Naperville. They also have two grandsons, Nicholas and Benjamin Etter.

Friends and relatives are invited to also celebrate their anniversary at an open house at the Silver Lake Community Church in Leesburg, Fla., on Dec. 6.
