SPRING VALLEY — Project Success of Eastern Bureau County is in need of toys to benefit the more than 500 children whose parents will participate in “Santa’s Workshop” to be held from 8 a.m. to noon Dec. 5.

Santa’s Workshop will benefit children in Arlington, Bureau, Cherry, Ladd, Spring Valley, Dalzell, DePue, Seatonville and Hollowayville. The event is by invitation only.
Drop off locations are at the Spring Valley City Bank, Curves in Spring Valley, North Central Bank in Ladd, Locker Room, State Bank of Cherry, and Citizens First National Bank in Spring Valley and DePue.

“With the economy the way it is, we need to ask people to dig deep into their pockets and help Project Success to provide a wonderful Christmas for all the children in need,” said Candyce Wolsfeld, executive director of Project Success.

Toys for ages preschool to 18 are needed, and Wolsfeld said there is a special need for gifts for children aged 8-11. She suggested such items as inexpensive MP3 players, Legos, CDs and movies.

The deadline is Dec. 4. Toys will be collected by volunteers and taken to the workshop for set-up. Donations may also be brought to 5OO N. Terry St., Spring Valley. Monetary donations may be mailed to P.O. Box 208, Spring Valley or dropped off at Spring Valley City Bank.

All donations are tax-deductible. Project Success of Eastern Bureau County, Inc. is a not-for-profit agency, and is the parent agency of the Hall Township Food Pantry and many other programs.
