Sausage making

ARLINGTON — Members of St. Patrick Church in Arlington will be making sausage on Dec. 5. Orders may be placed by calling Ruth Pommier at (815) 638-2430 or Ladyne Huhn at (815) 894-2006 by Nov. 30. Sausage will be available for pick up on Dec. 5 at the church hall between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Walk-in orders will not be filled until 2 p.m.

BCGS meeting

PRINCETON — The Bureau County Genealogy Society will have its combined November/December program Dec. 3 at the society library, 629 S. Main St. in Princeton. The public is welcome to attend. A social hour will begin at 6 p.m. Guests and members are encouraged to bring a finger food and share in buffet style. The program, which will begin at 7 p.m., will feature BCGS member Jean Cavada who will present “Mac of All Trades.” This PowerPoint presentation will tell the story of her father, Buford P. “Mac” McClellan, who lived in Tiskilwa for more than 70 years.

Princeton Coffeehouse

PRINCETON — Jim Kanas, consummate jazz and folk guitarist, will perform with the Jim Kanas Trio at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 28 at the Princeton Coffeehouse. To support local families in need, those attending the Nov. 28 performance are asked to bring a non-perishable item to be contributed to the Bureau County Food Pantry. The coffeehouse is at the Open Prairie UCC Church, 25 E. Marion in Princeton. Admission is $10 at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m.
