Bureau Valley PTO

WYANET — The regular meeting of the Bureau Valley South PTO was held Nov. 11 at the Wyanet School cafeteria.

The treasure’s report, with an ending balance of $28,140.45, was approved.

In old business:

• The Fannie May candy fundraiser sold 1,830 boxes of candy at $20,229, of which the PTO’s share was 40 percent, at $8,249.50.

• Thank yous were sent to the boy’s basketball ticket takers.

In new business:

• Discussion about a set amount of money for teachers classroom supplies with the decision to view them individually.

• American Education Week for teachers is Nov. 15-21.

• Discussed Get Moving Night in Buda on Nov. 13.

• Announced Pre-K-2 reading night has been postponed. Talked about changing it to a Pre-K-2 get moving night on Jan. 25.

• Discussed the Junior High School winter party at the Bureau County Metro Center on Jan. 29.

• Announced that picture frames will be given to the eighth-grade students at graduation.
