IVCC Jazz Band concert

OGLESBY — Illinois Valley Community College's Jazz Band, under the direction of Larry Butkus, will present its annual winter concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 9 in the Cultural Centre.

Included in the concert will be blues, jazz/rock, seasonal favorites and big band swing music. Composed of college students and community members, the IVCC Jazz Band provides an opportunity for furthering the study and performance of jazz in the Illinois Valley.

Musicians interested in membership in the IVCC Jazz Band during the spring 2010 semester. or those seeking information, should contact the Department of Humanities, Fine Arts and Social Sciences at (815) 224-0487.

The Jazz Band will also perform at 3 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Peru Mall.

Both concerts are free and open to the public.
