PRINCETON — We the People will meet at the Princeton Public Library at 6 p.m. today, Thursday.

A preschool story hour will be held Tuesday with the theme of pine cones and acorns. The program will be held in the Youth Services Department, and preschool children and their parents or guardians are welcome to attend. The Princeton Area Home Educators will meet at 7 p.m.

The Princeton Book Club will meet at 4 p.m. Dec. 10 to discuss “The Street of a Thousand Blossoms” by Gail Tsukiyama.

LADD — The Ladd Public Library will host story teller Helen Thomas from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday as part of the Ladd Christmas in the Village activities. Librarian Amy Galetti-Bosi said during this time, they will also be selling books, cookies and angels for the window.

These fundraisers are being conducted to raise money to go toward the Libri Foundation
Grant. For every dollar raised, the Libri Foundation will give the library two additional dollars to spend on children’s books for the library. “This is a great chance to support your library and enjoy some yummy treats or a good book, too!” Galetti-Bosi said.

The library also has preschool story hours at 10:30 a.m. the first and third Monday of each month.

The book club will also meet at 6 p.m. Monday to discuss “The Lace Reader” by Brunonia Barry. The selection for next month is “The Gift” by Richard Paul Evans. Anyone wishing to join may contact the library for details.

MINERAL — The Book Discussion at the Mineral Gold Library will meet on Tuesdays from 2 to 3 p.m. Contact the library for more information.

LAMOILLE — Confused about the changes to Medicare in 2010? LaMoille-Clarion Public Library will have a representative from the Social Security office at the library at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 15 to explain the Medicare changes and answer any questions you may have. If you or a loved one have Medicare, please plan to be here.

Also, a Christmas/winter story hour will be held at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 19 in the children’s area. There will be stories, snacks, a craft and lots of fun.
