Glenn Hultine
PRINCETON — Glenn Forrest Hultine, 90, of Princeton died Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, at his home.
Born Sept. 18, 1919, in Berlin Township near Malden to Axel and Katherine (Pierson) Hultine, he married Hannah June Vroom Nov. 24, 1946, in Princeton. She survives.
He attended the one-room Watson School near Five Points and graduated from Malden High School. He worked as a hired hand and was employed by the County Farm before entering the Army Air Corps in 1941. He was on KP duty at Jefferson Barracks, Mo., on Dec. 7, 1941, Pearl Harbor. He farmed for many years and was a part-time truck driver.
He was a member of the Princeton American Legion Post and served as commander for 12 years. He also belonged to the Kiwanis and served on the Malden School Board.
Also surviving are three children, Sandra (Pat) Noto of Ottawa, Lynn (Kathy) Hultine of Princeton and June (Gail) Ohlson of Ohio, Ill.; one brother, Carl (Pat) Hultine of Princeton; seven grandchildren, Laura (Brett) Bruner of Missouri, Anthony (Mary) Noto of Colorado, Amanda (Aaron) Diers of Indiana, Sarah (David) Massengale of Missouri, David Ohlson and Evan Hultine, both of Princeton, and Ellen (Jeff) Day of Grenoble, France; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Violet; and one brother, Robert.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton, with the Rev. Jon Olinger officiating. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Memorial Park, Princeton.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
