Norsemen topple Lions

Newark’s Kyle Anderson took the opening tip and put down a slam dunk just five seconds into Tuesday’s quarterfinal game against LaMoille/Ohio in the Little Ten Tournament at Somonauk. It all went downhill fast for the Lions after that.

Anderson went on to score 10 first-quarter points as the Norsemen outscored the Lions 24-2. Anderson finished with a game-high 23 points to lead Newark to a 78-31 win.

Mike Elam scored eight points for L/O (1-21), which posted their first win of the season Monday over Kirkland Hiawatha.

Henry 64, DePue 51: Kyle Wachs scored 24 points for the Little Giants (1-17) Thursday.
