TISKILWA — Robert “Bob” A. Morton, 91, of Tiskilwa died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010. He and his wife moved here in 2004 from South Dakota and resided with their daughter and husband.

Bob was born April 7, 1918, in Canton, Ill., the son of Henry and Fern (Warwick) Morton and was a self-employed carpenter and handyman.

He graduated Fairview High School and married Marilea (Hadsall) on Oct. 9, 1938, in Canton, Ill.

Bob was a member of the Tiskilwa Community Church and had served on the church’s board of trustees.

He is survived by his wife, Marilea of Tiskilwa; one son, Robert Jr. (Marjorie) Morton of Sauquoit, N.Y.; two daughters, Marilea (Stan) Bensen of Tiskilwa and Katherine (Dan) Grubber of Chicago; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Leslie.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Tiskilwa Community Church, Tiskilwa, with the Revs. Mike Abel and Kenneth Bensen officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the Tiskilwa Community Church.

Pallbearers will be Randy Bensen, Carl Lemke, Dan Grubber, Stan Bensen, Larry Magnuson and Bob Kenney.
