Tigers top Bulldogs

PRINCETON - The Princeton Tigers recorded their 20th win of the season Saturday, defeating the Streator Bulldogs 50-37 at Prouty Gymnasium.

Senior center Ryne Vrana had 14 points and senior guards Brik Wedekind and Reid Clary added 13 and 10 points, respectively, to lead the Tigers (20-1) to the NCIC cross-over victory.

Prior to the game, PHS honored Tiger great Joe Ruklick, who led the 1954 and 1955 PHS squads to back-to-back State Tournament berths. PHS fnished fourth in 1955.

The Tigers  will return to action Tuesday against Bureau Valley (12-10) at the Storm Cellar in Manlius. Those teams will tip off regional play at Prouty Gym later this month.
