John Parrott
PRINCETON — John Michael Parrott, 64, of Princeton died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at his home.
He was born Feb. 4, 1946, in Princeton to John and Cora (Headspeth) Parrott.
He attended Princeton High School and studied machinery at Illinois Valley Community College. He worked at Pioneer and Schneider’s.
He was a member of the Princeton Lions and was a fireman for the Princeton Fire Department. He was also an engineer for a miniature train in Waterman. He was active in the Dad Joe Smith’s Muzzle Loader Club and was the owner and DJ for Lone Eagle Music. He previously attended the First Baptist Church in Princeton.
Surviving are two brothers, Wesley (Jean) Parrott of Wyanet and James (Brenda) Parrott of Princeton; two nieces, Jennifer (Ronald) Neff Jr. and Kristen (Vincent) Rapp, both of Princeton; one nephew, Jody (Doris) Sullivan-Parrott of Princeton; six grand-nieces and nephews, Vanessa and Sydney Neff, and Kortnie, Jaclynn, Adam and Eli Rapp, all of Princeton; and his dear friends, Peter (Charlene) Robinson of Waterman and Mary Angela Murphy of Princeton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one nephew, John Wesley Parrott; and one niece, Amber Michelle Parrott.
A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton, with the Rev. Robert Allen officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded. Burial will be private and at a later date.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
