Ladd Village Board

LADD — The Ladd Village Board conducted the following business at its meeting Feb. 23:

• Heard an update on the water disinfection by-product issue from Village Engineer Larry Good. He intends to propose to the IEPA the village’s intention to operate Well No. 2 as the regular well and Well No. 3 as the emergency and back-up well.

• Directed Good to prepare a specification sheet on replacement diffusers at the wastewater treatment plant.

• Approved “Breastfest,” a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The event is scheduled for Aug. 7 at Dick’s and will include food, a beer garden and music.

• Approved donations to Breastfest and the Starved Rock Area Special Olympics.

• Approved a building permit for E.J. Cattani.
