PRINCETON — The Princeton Chamber Board of Directors announced it has selected Kimberly Frey as the new executive director of the Princeton Chamber of Commerce.
A Princeton native, Frey said she’s thrilled to be leading the Chamber and the city of Princeton in its future endeavors.
“I’m very excited about the position,” Frey said. “Being a lifelong resident of Princeton, I’m looking to be an advocate for what Princeton needs, while helping to make it even better place to work, live and do business.”
Frey said she has several ideas she’s hoping to share with the Chamber Board to help promote Princeton in and outside Bureau County.
Frey worked at Citizens First National Bank for 14 years. She has been a past chairman of the Princeton Homestead Festival Committee, a past board member for the Zearing Child Enrichment Center, a past member of the Flags of Freedom Committee, a member of the Princeton Jaycees, a Junior Achievement classroom volunteer and a Princeton Elementary School classroom volunteer. Frey and her husband, Steve, have four boys, Spencer, Christian, Zeke and Aiden.
Frey will begin her new role as the executive director of the Chamber on Sept. 13. Interim Chamber Executive Director Ami Chamberlain will work with Frey for a week to help get her settled into the position. Chamberlain was appointed to the interim position when former Director Erika Robbins left the spot a few months ago.
