Ruth Lukosus

SPRING VALLEY — Ruth M. Lukosus, 88, of Spring Valley died Friday, Oct. 8, 2010, at Manor Court in Peru.

Born Feb. 19, 1922, in Spring Valley to Harry and Bertha (Tieman) Wheeler, she married John Lukosus Oct. 25, 1947, at St. Columba Church in Ottawa. He died Jan. 29, 1990.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Spring Valley and the Maria Sodality of the church.

Surviving are two sons, Jack (Karen) Lukosus of Princeton and Jim (Barbara) Lukosus of Peru; one daughter, Joyce (Robert) Knottek of Ottawa; one brother, Robert (Marge) Wheeler of Ottawa; eight grandchildren, John, Eric, Aaron and Anne Lukosus, Chad and Katie Knottek, Sally Flavin and Beth Sholders; and 16 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Spring Valley, with the Rev. Fredi Gomez officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Barto Funeral Home in Spring Valley.
